Dr Angela's self diagnosis for the week ending 10 June.
Disease name: The Headachy, Sore Throat, Acute Lethargy Disease from Tropical Hell.
Causes: Monsoon like weather for days and days and days on end and/or being breathed upon by colleagues with the same or similar symptoms.
Symptoms a patient will display: Croaky voice, headaches, lack of appetite for alcohol, acquaintances telling you that you look like cr*p, an inability to concentrate for any length of time over 35 seconds, concurrent feelings of impatience and intense boredom, a strong desire for sleep and Jennifer Aniston movies.
Symptoms a patient may display: Foot stamping when not getting ones own way, acute shortness of temper and a tendency for yelling at innocent bystanders, sleeping for 16 hours a day, inability to add value in a conversation, desire to put on flannel pyjamas and roll up inside a feather duvet, somewhat like a a felafel wrap.
Prescribed Medication: Sleep, watch Jeniffer Aniston movies, prolonged periods of Spider Solitaire, Facebook stalking, junk food, avoid all human contact, unless it involves a mum (anyone's mum will do).
Side effects: RSI from mouse usage in Spider Solitaire, loss of friendship bonds, improved ability to apologise.
Patients displaying symptoms of The Headachy, Sore Throat, Acute Lethargy Disease from Tropical Hell are directed to take paracetamol and sleep as long as is humanly possible. Do not attempt to speak to anyone, as this will only result in an argument or misunderstanding due to the shortness of temper associates with this disease.

Angela is a fearless and tireless ambassador for all that is good in this world – especially if it involves wine and cheese.
